Some Chinese people taught me how to play mafia tonight. Then I taught them how to play mafia.

The time finally came. I cut off my braid today.

Alright China, time to start enforcing the one child policy. Or better yet, make it the zero child policy.

Dragon Boat Holiday, here I come! I only work two of the next seven days.

Seriously, working seven days in a row sucks! I hope I never do it again. If we're lucky I won't deck a kid, but if one more little bastard sprays my eyes with perfume, I just might.

I love China and hate teaching. It makes for a weird mix of emotion now that the end is near.

This seven day work-week is brutal. I'm looking forward to the Dragon Boat Holiday!

I officially booked a flight back to America yesterday. I should be back to Ohio at 6:17am on 1 July. Price: 太贵了。

First track workout in over a year today. Felt great; ran fast.

George, you almost made me strike out on a date last night. I told this girl that I was going to America for a wedding in August, and for the next half hour she was convinced that I was getting married.

At lunch I met a friend who gave me a free cellphone. Then I met a guy who had a guitar and wireless amp. Now I can (kind of) read Chinese sheet music. Best lunch break ever.

China is like a time portal for software. Seriously. I thought it was crazy that some of the computers at my school still used Windows 98, but today I asked to borrow a teacher's computer to check my email and it had Internet Explorer 5. IE5! I could have checked my email more easily by chewing on the loose end of the Ethernet cable!

A Chinese friend told me this joke tonight:

"Two Americans were pissing off a bridge. One was from New York and one was from Kentucky. The one from New York said, 'the water is very cold'. The one from Kentucky said, 'the water is also very deep'."

Fifty percent commission selling wine. I think I will try this one. But it might be hard since I don't speak Chinese... I guess I'll find out.

If anyone knows how to book a flight and pay in Chinese currency please let me know.

China is co cool. Too bad I have to do all this pesky teaching while I'm here.

Alright, I actually scored some overtime shifts this weekend. Maybe I won't leave here more broke than I came after all!

I made it back from Hong Kong, and it was sweet. Now back to school.

Going to Hong Kong for the weekend. I'm celebrating the halfway point in my contract and the fact that it's may-day.

I got another Job offer today. What was it? I'll give you a clue: It's a job that Model Bill never had.

The other night I got stuck out after the buses closed. I found a guy who spoke english to help me get back. Then he offered me a job interview at his video game programming company.

Tonight's Big Discovery: The discount rack at the bakery! When its only 2元 for a kilogram of delicious bread, I feel like I should sneak out with it under my shirt even after I pay.

If anyone is keeping a list of all the weird shit I've eaten over here, go ahead and add fish scales to the list :)

I got boned in poker tonight. But it was sweet to play again. Hopefully next week goes better.

I literally drug a girl out of class kicking and screaming today. (She was kicking we were both screaming). And when I got back I got a round of applause.

I ran over 6km today. Watch out America, when I get back I'll be one lean chick magnet :)

My classes ended abruptly today when the entire school stopped on a moments notice to get their banners and tambourines and go march around the exercise yard. Red China might not be so oppressive, but it sure is weird.

No School Friday either because the kids have exams. Easy week.

No School today because it's tomb sweeping day. I have no idea what that is.

At all costs, keep the wasabi out of your nose and lungs!

Tonight I could really tell that I was a long way from home... And it was sweet.

Believe it or not, I actually survived my first car trip with a Chinese driver.
