These pictures are the fruit of another walking adventure I went on with Tim. We went to Yuexiao park and walked around for a while, and saw the famous five goat statue. I had never heard of this before coming here, but there are billboards around town showing famous things from all over the world including the statue of liberty, the Sydney opera house, and the five goat statue, so I guess it's a big deal. We also saw the site of an ancient Chinese tomb and the stuff that was extracted from it. Some of that was cool, and some of it was a little oversold. But the tomb itself was cool. Afterward we walked around town for a while and bought some cooked ostrich eggs from a street vendor and some boba tea. Then on to poker.

haha I thought I was going to get in a car crash today because we were trying to give some boys in another car our number while on the highway...it made me think of driving to GR with you sarah
ps according to virtualtourist.com this is the legend:
"Legend has it that five immortal beings wearing robes of five colours came to Guangzhou on the backs of rams. Each being carried rice and gave it to the people as a sign that Guangzhou would be free of famine. "
Thanks
Good to know the actual legend. Did you successfully give the guys your number? On the way back from my spring break trip last year we were looking for girls to give our number too, but the pickin's were slim so we settled on a pretty attractive woman who looked to be about 30 or 35. The big problem was the diamond on her finger and the man in the passenger seat. She smiled at us, but he was pissed. When we saw them a few miles later we did it again and he threw a bottle at us. Yikes.
