It's time for another year of new years resolutions (see also 2011, 2012, and 2013). And in Keeping with last year's tradition the list will be even shorter.

Get and stay truly fit
That's right, I'm making the classic new years resolution. Last year I resolved to run 2 megameters, and that totally didn't even come close to happening. I did get fairly fit during the bicycle trip, but gained all my weight back right afterward. This year I'm not setting a specific running or even weight goal, but I know I'm overweight and out of shape right now, so I'm resolving to get fit, and stay fit. I'll need to start running or biking or both right away. And the biggest thing that I've always had trouble with is over eating. I will do my honest best not to do that this year. I will need help (but definitely will not need nagging) to accomplishing this, so please give me some support if you can.

Build a boat
It's just what it sounds like. I want to build my own person-sized floating boat. I've thought of this since high school, and rekindled the idea when I saw a book about it on my friend Max's coffee table. I don't know exactly what kind or how big yet, but it has to be able to safely and easily transport me across a pond. It will probably be made of wood.

Write an android app
If I'm going to be teaching programming, I should probably be using it in my life, and I've wanted to write an app for a wile. I'll probably implement the game pentago. In order to complete this goal I will have to, at minimum, release the app on the android marketplace.

Fly frequently
I didn't get that pilot's license for the heck of it. I resolve to fly frequently enough to maintain my skills and keep my license current. This will probably mean flying at least once a month, but I'm not resolving to stick to any strict schedule.
